East Rancho Dominguez Park / East Compton California A mixed media assemblage that uses paint, powder coated aluminum, reclaimed wood and corrugated metal. It was created through Fernandez’s research and conversations with the local community and project architects.

Angels Gate Cultural Center/ San Pedro California A tribute to the workers who build and repair the port's bridges, docks and breakwaters. To create "Supporting Structures," Fausto Fernandez worked with members of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters and the Pile Drivers, Bridge, Dock and Wharf Builders Union, Local 2375.

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Train Station / Phoenix Arizona The floor is inspired by the outline of an airplane’s horizontal stabilizer, known as a tailplane. Fernandez used ten colors to create the platform’s rhythmic geometric patterns and sweeping bands. He heightened the floor’s reflective qualities by adding aggregates of recycled, crushed glass and mirror.

Scottsdale Waterfront / Scottsdale Arizona “Flowing Overlapping Gesture” was a 200 ft site-specific artwork commissioned by Scottsdale Public Art. The project was meant to float down the Scottsdale Waterfront canal.
